Learning Objectives

  • In-Game Communication Skills: Build effective habits through callouts, coordination, and respectful competitive etiquette.
  • Role Mastery: Gain deep knowledge of Marvel Rivals roles (Duelists, Vanguards, Strategists), including movement, abilities, and team synergy.
  • Strategic Thinking: Learn map analysis, ultimate economy management, and decision-making to strengthen team performance.
  • Applied Tactics: Execute combos, strategies, and role responsibilities through structured scrimmages and team play.
  • Growth Mindset: Use VOD reviews and mindset training to identify mistakes, apply feedback, and prepare for competitive tournaments.

About

This team-based program uses Marvel Rivals as a learning arena where students not only advance their gameplay but also develop essential personal skills. By practicing hero roles, mastering mechanics, and applying strategic communication, they learn map control, resource management, team coordination, and structured scrimmage strategies. These lessons extend beyond gaming, equipping students with collaboration, problem-solving, and emotional regulation abilities.

Technical Requirements

  • Computers capable of running Marvel Rivals for every player
  • Each computer with access to Marvel Rivals game software 
  • Headset, keyboard, and mouse peripherals

Both camps and clubs are facilitated by Mastery Coding certified instructors.

Clubs

  • Delivered across multiple weeks
  • Can be run after school, during breaks, or on holidays
  • Includes additional activities outside of live sessions

Camps

  • Delivered over the course of a week (3 days)
  • 3-hour sessions
  • No additional activities outside of live sessions
